About
Mark D. Wenzel is a seasoned litigation and trial attorney with more than two decades of courtroom experience across California’s civil courts. A Loyola Law School graduate and long-time Dean’s List honoree, Mark has built his career on meticulous case preparation, persuasive advocacy, and unwavering professionalism in complex, high-stakes litigation matters. His practice spans employment law, personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, insurance coverage and bad-faith disputes, elder abuse and nursing-home negligence, and trust and estate litigation.
Over the course of his career, Mark has handled the full lifecycle of litigation—from intake and discovery through dispositive motions and trial—earning a reputation as a strategic thinker and trusted courtroom advocate. He has led and supported trial teams in major civil cases, prepared dozens of matters for verdict, and is known for his exceptional legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Mark’s background includes significant experience in both plaintiff-side and defense matters, giving him a rare 360-degree perspective on litigation strategy and risk. His work in employment and trust litigation has included managing motion practice, including MSJ and MSA briefing, coordinating discovery, and preparing complex cases for trial. His professional accomplishments have been recognized by his peers, including receiving the prestigious Lee B. Wenzel Civility Award from the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), where he also served on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Chapter.
Beyond the courtroom, Mark is deeply committed to community service and leadership. He has organized and volunteered in wildfire relief efforts, community food programs, school service initiatives, and scholarship support at UCLA School of Law. He has also written and presented on trial practice, including contributing to continuing legal education programs and publishing historical work on the development of ABOTA in Los Angeles.
