About
Susan Chu serves as a Legal Secretary at the Law Offices of Paul P. Cheng & Associates, bringing a strong foundation in criminal justice, public service, client relations, and administrative support to the firm’s growing legal team.
With a passion for the legal field and helping others, Susan combines her academic training in criminology and justice with practical experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds. Her understanding of the justice system, professionalism, and strong communication skills allow her to provide compassionate and efficient support to clients, attorneys, and the legal team.
Prior to joining PPRCLaw, Susan gained hands-on exposure to the legal and criminal justice fields through her internship with Parents, Teachers, Students in Action (P.E.S.A.), where she participated in youth mentorship programs, Teen Court proceedings, jury deliberation support, and community outreach initiatives. This experience strengthened her understanding of courtroom procedures, legal processes, and the important role advocacy plays in serving the community.
Susan also dedicated several years of service with the Monterey Park Police Department Explorer Program, where she contributed over 100 hours of community service and assisted with law enforcement operations, records, communications, public safety events, and neighborhood outreach. Her commitment earned her recognition through both the Explorer Community Service Ribbon and Law Enforcement Service Ribbon.
Before joining PPRCLaw, Susan developed extensive client service experience in fast-paced and high-pressure environments, where she handled sensitive situations, assisted individuals and families, coordinated communications, managed documentation, and provided support with professionalism and empathy.
Susan’s dedication, attention to detail, and commitment to service reflect PPRCLaw’s mission of providing exceptional legal representation while ensuring every client receives the highest level of care, respect, and professionalism.
